Empowering patients to take control of their health
Meet Our Health Professionals
Sanjay Gupta
Consultant Cardiologist
As a Cardiology consultant with a keen interest in Cardiac imaging, I specialise in echocardiography, stress echocardiography, Cardiac CT, and Cardiac MRI. With nearly 30 years in Medicine, I offer expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of cardiac symptoms and disorders. My approach is rooted in a down-to-earth, friendly, yet professional demeanour. When patients approach doctors, they're not merely seeking prescriptions; they yearn to be engaged, educated, and empowered. It's disheartening to see entities like the media, the pharmaceutical sector, and at times even the healthcare industry itself, instilling fear rather than providing the much-needed reassurance and empathy. I am deeply committed to educating with both empathy and reassurance, empowering individuals to place their lifestyles at the forefront, preventing diseases, and helping them focus on enhancing their quality of life.
Matthew Beadman
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
I have developed and spearheaded clinical psychology services in areas such as chronic pain, cardiac care, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and intensive care. My specialty lies in harnessing the power of psychological science to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and improve the quality of life for individuals recovering from cardiac conditions, major trauma, and critical illnesses. I've had the privilege of co-authoring book chapters, national reports, and guidelines that provide insights into the psychological management of hospitalised patients. Additionally, I took the lead in guiding an NHS Trust's psychological care for patients, their families, and NHS staff throughout the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Emily Cochrane
Clinical Physiologist
I specialise in lifestyle management for PoTS, Dysautonomia, hEDS, Fibromyalgia, persistent pain, and fatigue. I use detailed physiological education to help individuals understand the interplay of their chronic
health conditions to increase their knowledge as to why symptoms occur. This understanding helps stabilise their symptoms to lead more predictable and
balanced lives and allows them to sustainably re-introduce activities (eg. work, school
etc.) into their life with confidence. Personalised management strategies help people wind down their nervous systems and experience less symptoms, and I provide exercise prescription for those who are wanting to progress or re-introduce this. I also live with PoTS, ME/CFS, and Endometriosis, and I understand our experiences are all incredibly different. It’s important to acknowledge that all of my consultations can look different, as they are bespoke to the individual.

My expertise spans areas such as Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, mental health, paediatrics, renal care, gynaecology, orthopaedics, trauma, and palliative care, to name a few. Additionally, I'm well-versed in addressing the social challenges many patients face. Basem Enany
Consultant
Cardiologist
With over 17 years of experience in the field of cardiology, my expertise lies in general cardiology with a subspecialty focus on coronary intervention. My journey began in Egypt, where I served as a cardiology consultant until 2014. Following this, I had the privilege of joining the Royal Hospital in Oman, the largest tertiary center in the country. My efforts in establishing the cardiac service in Salala earned me recognition from His Excellency the Minister of Health in Oman, an honor that I hold dear.
In 2018, my career path led me to the UK, where I embarked on a new chapter as an Interventional Cardiology consultant at York Teaching Hospital, before moving to NLAG in 2020 for an additional two years. Most recently, in 2022, I was appointed as a substantive consultant at the cardiology tertiary center in Hull University Teaching Hospital at Castle Hill. Here, my focus remains on coronary intervention, dedicating myself to providing the best possible care for my patients.
Charntelle Thomas
IV therapy
I am the founder and owner of Thomas Medical Services (TMS), a private healthcare facility that offers specialised treatments for POTS, alongside private blood testing, IV therapy, and more. My passion for creating TMS stems from a deeply personal place—my mother lives with POTS and fibromyalgia, and witnessing her journey inspired me to establish a service that offers both medical care and understanding for individuals facing similar challenges. At TMS, we pride ourselves on offering tailored care for individuals managing complex chronic conditions. Our focus on IV therapy and private blood testing ensures that we can provide practical, effective solutions to improve our patients’ quality of life.
My background has been driven by a passion for making a difference in the lives of those navigating chronic health issues. With a deep appreciation for the complexity of these conditions, I strive to ensure that TMS offers a supportive, compassionate environment where patients feel empowered on their journey toward better health.
Jaya Athunuri
Pharmacist
I am a pharmacist with a real passion for helping people manage conditions like Diabetes, Obesity, Lipids and Heart Failure. I'm fascinated by how these conditions are interconnected, and I'm always looking for ways to improve patient care through the latest research. I strive to empower patients through education and personalised medication management to achieve their health goals and reduce their risk of cardiovascular events. I manage my own pharmacies in Bridlington and run various clinics both face to face and virtually.
Chloe Hall
Dietician
With over 13 years experience working in the NHS, I now specialise in Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), gut health, histamine intolerance (HIT) and PoTS. I have a wealth of experience supporting people with these and relating conditions such as long covid, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), hypermobility spectrum disorders and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). I volunteer for several charities on the Dietetic Advisory Panel; Mast Cell Action and The IBS Network. I am passionate about supporting people with these conditions following my husband's experience with MCAS, HIT and PoTS and use my platform as a media spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association (BDA) to raise awareness of these lesser-known conditions.
